“Born to Be Altruistic”
Everyone exists to heal:
we are born to be altruistic.
But the trauma of our births
hinders us.
Everyone exists to heal:
we are born to be altruistic.
But the trauma of our births
hinders us.
Look at this rose I’m holding.
Do you see it as an Instance of God?
No, you reply.
So let me turn it around, just a little.
Now do you see it as God?
Yes! I do.
The rose hasn’t changed, only your perception of it, as a result of my re-orienting it to you – of re-orienting you to it.
The more I love the subject,
that is to say,
the more I feel loved by it,
the more will you feel loved
by my photo of it.
All forms of Creativity
are but differing ways
of manifesting the Muse,
the Mother of Love.
My painting shows what’s in my unconscious,
and my photographing what my unconscious loves.
I paint without a subject,
but to photograph, a subject is needed.
Then I must transcend the visible
and reveal the Underlying,
as in my painting.
A wise man, well acquainted with the Spirit World, reminds me of how, when a sunbeam enters a room, we suddenly see thousands of floating dust particles we had never seen there before. Well, they are nothing, he avers, compared to all the spirits around us that we would see when enlightened.
Inspiration is from God
to the Soul,
Aspiration is from the Soul
to God.
Creativity
is God to God.

To, hopefully, see a Heaven in every Photo.

If I were thought
to be a Zen master,
my paintings would be
eagerly sought.
But I’m only me –
not even master
of myself.
