Facets of a Diamond – Blog

I have been looking for a word to use for all my pictorial endeavors: painting, photography, and the placing – or throwing – of objects to then be photographed. I cannot find one in English. So I am led to the Chinese shih hua.

The mantra, “Tat Twam Asi” (“Thou art That”), is the central dictum of the Upanishads. It defines the relationship between Thou, the atman (soul in every being), and That, the transcendent brahman (Absolute), which pervades the whole universe.
