“Soul-Pointing Not Bone-Pointing”
A very dedicated nurse practitioner told me of a patient whom I had once also seen. She is afflicted with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) and has of course mobility difficulties. When I saw her, her Inner Flame was very low – she had read and been told so much about her diagnosis and her prognosis that she had, basically, surrendered any desire to live.
Perhaps with that help, but certainly with the dedication over time of her nurse practitioner she had steadily improved. Until she developed a severe cold which also impaired her swallowing and breathing.
And her doctor, after the antibiotic shot, told her that she would die just that way: struggling for breath, drowning in her saliva!!!
That’s medical bone-pointing.
