Treatment deals only with the conscious – what the patient knows to complain of. Therapy deals with the superficial unconscious. At its best reducing the hate, but never inducing pure love.
Words are merely signifiers of reality, not, as we so often treat them, reality itself. Their application, whether as a simple name given to an object or a whole story created about it, forces us to see the object in a particular way, and so limits our perception.
Music should be mellifluous, meli from the ancient word for honey, and fluous, flowing. So Music should flow like honey: smoothly, sweetly.
