The great physician and psychoanalyst Georg Groddeck believed that in his unconscious was the patient's desire for disease – as well as for health. And he also believed that in his own unconscious was his desire for the patient's health to then actuate the patient's desire.
But what of the Tao – or whatever Groddeck would have called It? I'm sure, him being as he declared “wild,” he did so believe, but chose to not say lest he be deemed “too wild.”

Which comes first – the find or the being found?
I look around in my living room. Books – so many, all with titles, a Butsudan, rocks, pebbles, shells – so many. Four couches with cushions, lamps, bits of wire, pottery, paintings, a tapestry, twigs, a card proclaiming “Music” in Chinese, a Japanese lantern ……
Every photograph should be, in a sense, a picture of Arcadia – “an area of central Greece whose inhabitants legendarily enjoyed their music and dancing undisturbed by war and toil."

From the root MED, to take appropriate measures.
Caress: a gentle touch, tenderness.
From the root KA, to like – hence also charity and cherish.
