What do I mean by Life Energy?
What have I always meant?
Fifty years ago I saw those two patients – I see them still, so clearly.
The same diagnosis and the same treatment. One lived – and one died.
The difference? Their Life Energies. One shriveled up inside, turned away from Life, wanting to die and yet so fearful of death.
The other embracing life, calamitous as it had been for him. Smiling, radiant – I still sense his Emanation, his Enthusiasm: filled with the Spirit.
That’s what I mean by Life Energy: the Spirit that enters us – that is us – and leaves us as It wills.
