Our word worship:
the ship means the state of,
and the wor the worth.

So, basically, the worship is to invest the other with the state of being worthy.

The wor is derived from the root WER2, the basic meaning being to bend, hence verse and vertebra. We bend our knees, we bow our heads, to those we feel are worthy of our worship.

Interestingly, the root WER1 meant to raise, to lift. We raise our thoughts in worship.

Worship:
to bow the head
and open the heart.
