The core teaching of the Hindu tradition of Advaita Vedanta, as espoused by Shankara, is that All is One, there is no not-One.

It is only what he called illusion that prevents us Knowing this Basic Truth, and living accordingly.

This illusion, and all the countless ones superimposed on it, arising out of it, are not, I believe, due to our innate ignorance, our native un-Enlightenment, but rather the mental and spiritual consequence of the brain misprocessing caused by the uncorrected physical distortion of birthing trauma. This is itself a consequence of our evolutionary stage: with the adoption of the upright posture the baby’s brain has enlarged as the mother’s pelvis has contracted.

The core of all True Healing, whatever the modality, is to help overcome the misprocessing. Thus is Healing a spiritual endeavor helping those in anguish to at last Know the Oneness.
