Gratos
A song of praise or devotion.
Timeline: 2007-2019
Commentary: The term is Diamond’s and is found occasionally in his writings. It relates closely to the concept of Cantillation(1)*, specifically the notion of “a song of love for the Love [of the mother]” (Life Energy Analysis, 1). It also relates to gratitude, both in its meaning and etymology, the root for both words being the Indo-European root gwere, meaning to praise aloud.[1]

[1] Also note, the Sanskrit word gir, from the same root, meant a song of praise. For discussion of the etymology of gratitude, see Life Energy, p. 35.
