The liver meridian relates to the feeling of happiness or unhappiness, which relates to whether you believe that mommy is smiling on you, or not.

When the gambler blows on the dice in his hand, he is hoping that Lady Luck, mommy, loves him. If they come out as he wishes, it means that mommy loves him, is smiling on him. If they do not, mommy hates him, has turned her back on him. She is frowning, not smiling. Gambling is used as a way of finding out whether mommy loves you at the moment, or not.

There is always a risk. Every time you throw the dice, every time you bet on a horse, every time you play a slot machine, every time you play cards, every time you gamble in any way, there is the risk—and there is the challenge. What will the dice say? What will the cards say? Does mommy love me, or not? You are challenging mommy to show her love, or not. When you win, Wow! Mommy loves you. But when you do not, once again you have proved that she does not.
