“His Chosen Path”
When I meet with a sufferer from any disease I recommend that he read all the books on it that he can find. And then choose the particular approach that appeals to him.
I reassure him that I will assist him along his chosen path. But – and it’s a big but – it must be his free choice. For every author is pulling him his way, and so often it is the one with seemingly the biggest ego that wins him over. It may be the best approach for this particular sufferer, or not. In the majority of cases we find that he has surrendered his self to the most powerful, usually the most self-promoting, author.
Yes, I will help the sufferer along his chosen path – but first I must ensure that it is his choice.
