“Filling the Blank Space with Chi”
An unpainted space that represents the sky is not blank, is not empty.
My spaces left unpainted represent nothing – and therefore really are blank and empty. Encouraging the viewer to fill them, and not with image but with energy, chi: his yin to their yang.
