I believe that if there is a reason for me to meditate, it is to become Aware, hopefully one day Ever Aware, of the linkage to the Spirit World and beyond to the Force Divine, The Great Spirit, the Determiner of All.

One particular morning I was meditating in our bedroom, concentrating on my breath. Suddenly I heard my wife asleep in our bed, breathing.

And then I realized that we were breathing together, she and I in perfect synchrony. That was Linkage!

Linkage wasn’t only up, but also outwards – to All, especially to her.

I was so grateful that we were Linked – as had been Determined. So grateful, so very grateful.

And then, as Determined, she rolled over and I could no longer hear her breathing. But I Knew we were still Linked – that we would always be. For it is so Determined.

It is Determined here and Everywhere that we are Linked with all. And it is Determined that some will become Aware of the Linkage.

Perhaps from now whenever I see her, think of her, I will become Aware of the Linkage to her and The Great Spirit as her. Perhaps, I’m getting a little closer to being Ever Aware – if so Determined.

Perhaps. But it certainly was Determined that we would breathe together that beautiful sunny morning.
