“Becoming More Than a Surgeon”

The surgeon asks me how he can incorporate photography into his practice.
I tell him: Make photography your Karma Yoga, your action meditation to become one with your Soul, and so with every Soul. In so doing you will become a healer.
Then you will See those that come to you not just as patients with diseases, but, looking deeper, sufferers in desperate fear. And now Knowing your Soul, you will easily find theirs and then so can they. And at last their fear is alleviated.
You will then be more than a surgeon. You will have become a member of Freud’s “new profession,” ministering to the Soul.
