“Anticipating the Supersensual Experience”
“There is no man who does not anticipate a supersensual utility in the sun and stars, earth and water. These stand and want to render him a peculiar service.”
–Emerson
As I walk along, I so anticipate the supersensual experience from every wall, every rock, every twig and gutter.
I most seek the experience in the neglected, the overlooked, the discarded. So silently they stand and wait – and no one else comes.
It is our private communion – the secular, the very secular, as the Sacred.
